Hello, Early Summer! Time to trade busy schedules for hopefully slower nights, cold drinks, and dinners enjoyed outside whenever possible. Whether you’re heading to the lake, hosting friends on the patio, or just soaking up a little extra sunshine after work, these wines were picked with the weather in mind.

This month’s club is all about versatility and easy enjoyment. I included a bright and fresh white wine and a juicy Austrian red that are perfect chilled, along with a slightly bigger domestic red and an undervalued Portuguese red for grilling nights and dinners. These are the kinds of bottles that fit right in next to burgers on the grill, seafood dinners, or a table full of family and friends.

P.S. A stocked wine rack counts as summer preparation in my book. And if unexpected guests happen to stop by, even better! You’ll already be ready with something worth pouring.
